When you submit a data deletion request, we will delete the following information associated with your account:

Any retained data will be kept only for the legally required period and will be securely stored with restricted access.

Before You Request Deletion

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Method 1: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@morbhagwan.in or support@morbhagwan.in with the following information:

• Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
• Your full name
• Registered email address
• Registered phone number
• Reason for deletion (optional)
• Confirmation statement: "I confirm that I want to permanently delete my account and all associated data from Morbhagwan.in"

Method 2: In-App Request

If available in your app version:

1. Open the Morbhagwan app
2. Go to Settings or Profile
3. Select "Account Settings"
4. Click on "Delete My Account"
5. Follow the on-screen instructions
6. Confirm your deletion request

Method 3: Contact Form

Visit our Support Page and fill out the contact form with:

• Select "Data Deletion Request" as the subject
• Provide your account details
• Submit the form

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity before processing your request:

1. Identity Verification: We may ask you to verify your identity by providing information that only the account holder would know, or by confirming via OTP sent to your registered phone number or email.
2. Account Ownership: We will verify that the request is coming from the legitimate account owner.
3. Pending Transactions: We will check for any pending orders, bookings, or active subscriptions.
4. Confirmation: Once verified, you will receive a confirmation email asking you to confirm the deletion request one final time.

Processing Timeline

Once we receive and verify your data deletion request:

• Acknowledgment: Within 24-48 hours, we will acknowledge receipt of your request
• Processing: Your data will be deleted within 30 days of verification
• Confirmation: You will receive a final confirmation email once the deletion is complete
• System Cleanup: Complete removal from backup systems may take up to 90 days

What Happens After Deletion?

Once your data deletion request is processed:

• Your account will be permanently deactivated
• You will no longer receive any emails or notifications from us
• You will not be able to log in to your account
• All personal data will be removed from our active systems
• Your phone number and email will be available for new registrations
• Any anonymized data may remain for statistical purposes only

Cancelling a Deletion Request

If you change your mind, you can cancel your deletion request by contacting us at support@morbhagwan.in before the deletion is processed. Once the deletion is complete, it cannot be reversed.

Special Considerations

Active Orders or Bookings

If you have active orders or bookings, we recommend:

• Waiting for all orders to be delivered
• Completing or cancelling any pending Pandit bookings
• Resolving any open disputes or issues
• Cancelling any active subscriptions

Alternatively, we can process the deletion after these are completed.

Refunds and Payments

If you have pending refunds or payment issues:

• All refunds will be processed before account deletion
• Payment-related data may be retained as legally required
• Contact our support team to resolve payment issues before requesting deletion

Legal Obligations

We may retain certain data if:

• Required by Indian law or regulations
• Necessary for ongoing legal proceedings
• Needed to comply with tax and accounting requirements
• Required for fraud prevention and security purposes

Alternatives to Data Deletion

If you're concerned about privacy but don't want to delete your account permanently, consider these alternatives:

Deactivate Account: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data

Update Privacy Settings: Adjust your privacy preferences in the app

Unsubscribe from Communications: Stop receiving promotional emails while keeping your account

Delete Specific Data: Request deletion of specific information rather than your entire account

Clear App Data: Clear local app data and cache without deleting your account
